Hi my name is Patrick. I am 15 years old and I live in Ireland. I have bought some pigs to rear up and slaughter. The following pages will show the trials and tribulations of my stint as head pig keeper of Gloucester Old Spot pigs in Ireland at Carrigslaney pigs. The operation was set up by myself [Patrick] and run by myself,my brother Hugh and my family.

Our first pig [The Boar] went  for slaughter many months ago and our next Pig’s have already gone for slaughter. So get those orders in for meat. we have a few sows now and they are all in with our boar so hopefully we will have lots of Piglets soon. We are hoping to breed all our own pigs. Gloucester Old Spot pigs were originally raised in orchards and that is certainly true as my pigs wolf down all the apples i can get from friends and family.
